Single-Acting Hydraulic Rams

A single-acting hydraulic ram applies hydraulic force in only one direction — typically for extension. The return stroke occurs through gravity, spring force, or external load.

Double-Acting Hydraulic Rams

A double-acting hydraulic ram uses hydraulic pressure to generate force in both extension and retraction directions. Fluid is alternately supplied to either side of the piston, allowing controlled push and pull movement.
